Officer pull over frustrated trucker for of “illegal use of horn” – gets “earful” he didn’t see coming

A fascinating exchange between a truck driver and an Illinois State Trooper was uploaded to Youtube after the trucker was pulled over for an “unlawful use of horn.”

After quickly flipping on his phone’s camera, the trucker could captured what happened next as he gave the cop an earful that the officer never saw coming.
Brian Miner works as a truck driver and when he hits the road, he likes to look out for his fellow man when he’s traveling down the all too often dangerous highway.

One day at work, the roadway was rain-slick and pretty risky. Brian saw a police officer using his cell phone and speeding, so he decided to do something about it.

But maybe Brian should have let it go.

Unfortunately for him, the officer in question didn’t like his interference and decided to pull him over.
The quick thinking trucker then decided to record the exchange on his cell phone’s camera. Many viewers were shocked to see how things played out for a variety of reasons.

The discussion between the Illinois State Police trooper and Brian Miner starts contentiously but ends much differently — without Miner being issued a citation he was threatened with, and for good reason.

As the trooper opens the door to the cab, he tells Miner he’s been pulled over for unlawful use of a horn.

He probably expected the trucker to just apologize, but Miner had other plans.
The two continue a frosty exchange to a point where the trooper tells Miner he’s going to be ticketed. Miner says he was honking at the trooper because he was on a cell phone while speeding.

The the topper drops the hammer, telling the cop he’s being recorded, according Fox4.

After the revelation, the trooper’s behavior changes dramatically, so far to the point that by the end of the traffic stop the trooper apologizes for speeding, saying he wasn’t paying attention.

He didn’t write Miner a ticket, saying he didn’t want to hurt his record.
However, this cop is getting some surprising kudos as well for showing compromise, even if it was only after he was informed that he was being recorded that he seemingly had a change of heart.

I can only applaud Brian Miner for holding this trooper accountable for his reckless actions while sharing the highway with civilians.

At the same time, I think this cop deserves credit, admitting that he was in the wrong, and apologizing for it.

I think we all know that apologizing can be hard sometimes, let alone a person of authority who’s been put in their place in a humiliating way.
I liked the fact that both of these gentlemen kept calm, and this proves, “Cooler heads prevail,” as they say.

In this world we live in, we really need to look out for one another, and we need to be willing to accept rightful criticism, regardless of our position, when we deserve it.

This is how we make progress – share if you agree!
